All signs are produced from 14GA steel (thicker than 16GA).
After cutting, the steel is processed in a multi-step process to smooth any artifacts of the cutting process and cleaned. 
If RAW is selected as your color choice, keep in mind that the steel will rust if exposed to moisture.  Raw is the material condition as it is supplied from the mill and will have variations in coloring.
Color options are POWDER COAT.  Powder coat is an electrostatically applied powder which is cured to hardness in an industrial oven at 375 to 415 degrees.  The result is a very durable, UV stable coating which is suitable for outdoors or indoors and will last for many years.
